Blossom Organics Deluxe Duo

I sometimes get products that I’ve already reviewed before, and that’s okay when I like the product and it just so happens when I received Blossom Organics in the mail the first time I fell in love with their pH balanced natural lubricant for woman, that truly caters to the female species.

Blossom Organics

Recently for  the second time I received a small container of Blossom Organics natural moisturizing lubricant AND a pure pleasure arousal gel.
They are sold as a set – The Blossom Organics Deluxe Duo.

Blossom Organics is 100% free of harsh ingredients, formulated without parabens, petroleums, silicones, alcohol, hormones, artificial dyes, flavoring or fragrances.  It’s latex-friendly, glycerin free and aloe based, all around…gentle!!!   The lubricant doesn’t dry out easily or irritate your naughty spots. Absolutely refreshing for a lube…I loved it.

What I would really like to talk about this time around is the pure pleasure arousal get.
It’s simple… just spray a little of the gel on your clitoris and let it feel well…aroused.  It’s great, no tricks or gimmicks, easy as pie.  The Arousal gels ingredients are listed as follows, organic aloe, barbadensis leaf extract, glycerin (Wait wait wait, isn’t Blossom Organics glycerin free???????????), hydroxyethlcellulose, sorbitol, arginine, niacin (vitamin 3), organic plant oils of rosa canina and cenotherabiennis, ethyhexl glycerin (???) , organic mentha piperita essential oil, organic extracts of paeonia albiflora root and passiflora incarnata flower.
Wow what a long list of ingredients for such a simple arousal tool.  And did I mention I found the word glycerin in the the long list when it states in the little pamphlet they give you????  Come on guys!!!  I was going to give the arousal gel a 4 apple rating until I saw they false advertised and potentially could cause issues for someone who may have sensitivities.
Blossom Organics even has a points of Different page on their website that seems to cover all their products and it says “Pure Pleasure without harsh parabens, petrochemicals, silicones, glycerin, alcohol, etc…” hmmm.
(Here is the page)

So the gel is receiving a 3 apple rating for its performance and 0 apples for it’s advertising reliability.  Sorry Blossom Organics I loved your lubricant but don’t like to be misguided.

pure pleasure arousal gel
I will say this… most arousal gels have so many nasty ingredients in them I wont even try them.
This stuff does work, and besides my annoyance at finding glycerin in it when the company pushes the all safe and wonderful for a woman’s lady bits gimmicky talk it is good stuff.
If your not worried about the glycerin give it a go.

The lube (just to remind you) is A+ stuff.

Note on Glycerin for those who don’t know about it.
Glycerin carries with it a medical hazard sign in the U.S. Chemical Catalog.
It may possibly be dangerous to anyone with a sensitivity to blood sugar variances. Those with diabetes are especially at risk. For them, vaginal lubricants containing glycerin can cause bladder infection, vaginal irritation and vaginal yeast infection following intercourse.
Many people think that glycerin can cause yeast infections, but it has not been proven. Enough people however think that if you have a slight yeast infection it can make it worse or prolong it.

  1. Thank you for the positive review despite our mistake with marketing language in regards to glycerin. We pride ourselves on our ingredient transparency, so our Arousal Gel box does not list glycerin in the “Formulate without…” blurb and we have changed our brochure to reflect this. But it looks like we need to update our website!

When we formulate products we depend, in part, on EWG’s Skin Deep database which offers the following about glycerin & ethylhexylglycerin:

    http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/702620/GLYCERIN/
    http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/702352/ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN/

Feel free to contact us with any further questions. Thank you again for your ongoing support of our brand. – Team Blossom

    • Thanks for commenting Johannah.
I am happy to hear that you will be updating the website.
Personally I love your products across the board and your “ingredient transparency” is an important part of that.
It is also great to know that Blossom Organics is paying attention to the consumers (of which I am one) and addressing any concerns rather than ignoring them.

  • Check it out!
